For this short film we worked to enhance its dreamlike atmosphere. This prompted the decision to create unique timbres, not reminiscent of any particular instrument.
All the sounds were synthesized from samples of a digitally-deconstructed guitar. The percussion is the result of a loop generated from the involuntary noise of a hand passing over the fret. This noise is usually considered a hassle when recording, but the digital mediation presents it in a completely different light.
